Petromax Atago Grill

The Petromax Atago is a versatile piece of cooking equipment designed for outdoor use. This ingenious system deploys in seconds to serve as a charcoal or wood barbecue or camp oven in combination with a cast-iron Dutch Oven (sold separately).

Made from thick stainless steel, it withstands intense heat and repeated use. Thanks to its "double-walled" design, steel grill and apertures, it provides an efficient draught for good combustion.

Charcoal, charcoal briquettes and wood can be used to operate this barbecue.

Versatile, the Atago can be used as :

• Barbecue: fuelled by charcoal or briquettes. A matching grill rack is included.


• Cooker or oven: The Petromax Atago can also be used with a stewpot or wok. Simply place the cast iron crucible (e.g. Petromax ft3, ft6 or ft9) over the glowing briquettes of the Petromax Atago. The Atago surrounds the crucible, ensuring optimum heat output in combination with the cast iron crucible. The wok is placed directly on the round opening of the Petromax Atago. The Atago can be transformed into a convection oven: thanks to the optional convection dome, you can prepare pizzas.


• Brazier: you can light a cosy campfire for the evening. Its round shape makes it easy to stack firewood and brushwood in a pyramid shape.
